They say that twins are double the work… but they are definitely double the fun! This twin first birthday cake smash session in Beachwood, Ohio was all that and more! From the sweet rock candy pops and frosting to the even sweeter one year old babies, it was one of the sweetest sessions I ever had! When it came time to choose images for the gallery. I really had a hard time narrowing it down! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the session. The flower wall that their talented mom put together was really a winner! I love how the beautiful flowers blend to create a splash of beautiful color, and how the soft pinks complement their rosy cheeks. Cake smash photo sessions are fun and sweet – double the fun + double the sweetness = a recipe for cake smash success!

In my work as a Photographer in Cleveland, Ohio, I get to photograph various children and families, which I enjoy immensely. I must admit, however, that my favorite people to photograph are the little ones; the babies and toddlers! From the innocence and purity of the littlest baby to the exuberance and love of life of the toddler, they make every photo session an absolute joy! This little guy captured my heart with his absolute cuteness – and did you see those cheeks!?! When his sweet big sister gave him a kiss, I was so glad I had my camera ready! The picture shows his delicious squishiness and the love they have for one another. Did I mention that I love taking pictures of babies and toddlers?

As a newborn photographer, it means a lot to me when clients call me back for another newborn session. I love watching the family grow, and seeing the newborn turn into a big brother or sister! This newborn photo session took place in the family’s beautiful, light filled home in Beachwood, Ohio, and was more of a lifestyle shoot. The creamy white color palette gives the pictures that light, dreamy feel, and I just love the fascination and adoration that the little guy has for his new baby brother!

Group Hug – Family Photography Session in Shaker Heights, OH

The first photo is a winner! Sometimes I step back and let the kids do their thing, and boy was I rewarded with this one! The group hug and the smiles and the fun and love it conveys really come through. I love how the purple and grays the children are wearing draw out those colors from the rich fall palette in the background. This spot in Horseshoe Lake Park in Shaker Heights, OH is one of my favorite spots for family photo sessions! The soft lighting of golden hour adds such a beautiful glow to the images, allowing the children to shine together with the beautiful scenery.

Double the Fun – Twin Baby Girls Newborn Session in Beachwood, OH

Two babies – double the fun! And this twin baby girls newborn session in Beachwood, Ohio definitely was! With a ratio of 2 adults per baby (I’m not kidding! Mom, Auntie, my assistant, and me) we had the situation under control! These beautiful babies were a treat to work with, and I so enjoyed posing their little features and portraying the special bond that twins share in the images. There is true beauty in simplicity, and the first picture is one of my favorite photos. I love that there is nothing distracting the viewer from the natural beauty of these twin newborn girls, their perfect tiny little features, and the closeness they share. I try to use varied colors and props in every newborn shoot, and the gray tones of the last image, along with soft, side-lit glow remind me of a painting. As a newborn photographer, I love working with babies and love every newborn photo session, but twins are definitely a special treat!
